Microsoft Excel – Introduction (Level 1) Training

Course Overview:

At this level you’ll be introduced to Excel’s interface and some of the most commonly used functions. You’ll also learn how to navigate efficiently and effectively between workbooks, worksheets, cells and ranges. Finally, you’ll be taught some fundamental formatting techniques and time-saving tips and tricks.

Course Content:

  • Overview of the Excel interface:

Menus, toolbars, task panes, status bar, formula bar, sheet tabs, rows, columns and cells

  • Working with sheets:

Naming, moving, copying, colouring

  • Working with cells, ranges, rows and columns:

Cutting, copying, moving, selecting, hiding, inserting and deleting

  • Basic formatting:

Fonts, effects, alignments, borders, format painter, clearing formats

  • Basic functions:

SUM(), COUNT(), MAX(), MIN(), AVERAGE(), simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • Keyboard shortcuts:

Formatting, navigation, selection, workbooks, data, formulas

  • Proper printing and page setup techniques
  • Time-saving tips and tricks

Microsoft Excel – Intermediate (Level 2) Training

Course Overview:

At the intermediate level you’ll learn some of Excel’s more advanced features such as filtering, sorting, using range names, conditional formatting and database functions.

You’ll also learn how to create graphs, pivot tables and drawings, and you’ll learn how to protect cells, ranges, worksheets and workbookds.

Finally, you’ll learn about templates, styles, advanced functions and simple macros.

Microsoft Excel – Advanced (Level 3) Training

Course Overview:

At the advanced level you’ll dive deeper into some of the things you learned at the intermediate level.

In addition, you’ll also be educated on efficient alternatives to some of the functions you learned at the intermediate level.

You’ll also learn how to use hyperlinks, forms, advanced PivotTables and filters.

Finally, you’ll be taught a number of efficiency-improving, time-saving tips and tricks that will elevate your skills to the next level.
