Scrolling text (Marquee) in WordPress Header Widget (highlighting FREE WEBSITE offer)

Okay, so while this isn’t something I’d normally use on my website (and neither would I recommend it to others), I still thought I’d use it for this one-time only, since I’m holding a very special, once-in-a-lifetime, limited-time (30 days), limited-quantities (first 30 people) offer.

What that means is that the annoyance (if you want to call it that) of the distracting text (if you want to call it that) will remain on my website for a maximum period of 30 days, or till such time that 30 people sign-up for a FREE WEBSITE with me – whichever comes first. Now, if I have 30 people sign-up on the very first day….guess what? That scrolling message will be up on my site for just the one day – not bad I would say.

Anyways, since this post isn’t so much about a FREE WEBSITE special offer, but rather, more about how to implement the scrolling text marquee on your WordPress website, let me jump into the meat of it.
